State Vision News Service Jammu, Sept. 19 Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, declared that the Mughal Road s Detailed Project Report DPR was completed and that construction would soon begin.He also disclosed that the Sinthan Pass Tunnel, a significant infrastructure undertaking with an approximate cost of Rs 5,000 crore, is expected to be finished by 2028. Gadkari gave a thorough account of the government s ongoing efforts to improve connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir during a public rally in the Budhal Assembly constituency. These efforts include the construction of 50 tunnels, some of which have already been finished and others of which are now under development. The people of Jammu and Kashmir were given assurances by Gadkari that by 2025, the area would have world class road infrastructure, including American style freeways. It is anticipated that these initiatives will greatly increase tourism and regional economic growth. Emphasising the natural beauty of Kashmir, Gadkari described it as a place of unmatched beauty, surpassing even the famous destinations of Switzerland and Austria. However, he highlighted the stark reality of poverty faced by the people in the region. Kashmir is beautiful, and God has given it a beauty that if we travel to any place in the world, like Switzerland or Austria, we only say one thing: Kashmir is beautiful, Gadkari remarked.
But the people here are poor, and to end this poverty, we need a good government. I can say with authority that the BJP is the party that is working for the benefit of the people.
